Ronald MCDONALD hOUSES

The West County Ronald McDonald House is the 300th House in the world! Built in 2010, the House has 20 bedrooms and primarily provides services to families at Mercy Children’s Hospital and Shriner’s Children’s Hospital – St. Louis.

The Park Avenue House was opened in 1996 to support families with children seeking treatment at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. The 11-bedroom House has offered families with seriously ill children a convenient and safe place to stay.

The West Pine Ronald McDonald House opened in 1981 as the original Ronald McDonald House. It has grown from an eight-bedroom Victorian mansion into a multi-building complex with room for families in the main house and the long-term apartments.

Ronald MCDONALD FAMILY ROOMS

The Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the fifth floor of St. Louis Children’s Hospital opened in 2007 and serves nearly 6,000 families each year. This space was renovated in 2018 and now serves families with children in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the fifth floor of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital opened in 2008 and serves nearly 4,000 families each year. This space was renovated in 2021 and continues to serve families of inpatient children.

The new Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the second floor of Mercy Hospital opened in 2022 to serve families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The space was previously used as a parent lounge. Special thank you to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Parents (NICUPs) group that donated the funding to renovate the space.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the third floor of Mercy Hospital opened in 2005 and was moved to the new pediatric tower in 2010. The space was renovated in 2022 and serves approximately 3,000 families each year.
