Pete Lilly earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College, where he also lettered in and captained the men’s varsity lacrosse team. After college, Pete served in the US Marines for nearly nine years with multiple deployments overseas. His Marines’ roles included UH-1 “Huey” helicopter pilot, instructor, helicopter maintenance division manager, and aviation simulator design and procurement officer. Pete transitioned from the military via graduate school, earning an MBA from Harvard University in 2015.
After graduate school, Pete joined Emerson as a member of the strategy and planning group in St Louis, MO. In 2017, Pete transferred to Pittsburgh, PA, to manage marketing and North America sales for Emerson’s operating businesses – Power & Water Solutions. Then in late 2019, he rotated back to St Louis to manage investor relations for Emerson corporate. Pete is responsible for all investor communications, reporting, marketing, and event planning in his current role.
Pete has been active in the community for most of his life in various organizations and roles. He has served as the student leader of Dartmouth’s Big Brother Big Sister organization, has coached multiple youth lacrosse teams, and has served on the board of directors of DogTag Brewing Foundation; a veteran non-profit focused on “gold star” families (families who have lost military family members in the line of duty). Pete is also active with American Corporate Partners (ACP), an organization dedicated to professional mentorship for veterans transitioning from active service.
Pete has been married for 14 years to his wife Julia, who works in the financial advisory industry. They have three children, Byron (8), Ella (6), and Jackie (3). He enjoys history, skiing, travel, business strategy, aviation, golf, and craft beer.
