Donny Fandango’s 10th Annual 28-Hour Radiothon
Starting at 10am on Thursday, June 25, Donny Fandango – host of the music-centric mid-day show – will broadcast LIVE for 28 hours straight during the 10th Annual Radiothon on 105.7 The Point. This on-demand fundraiser will allow listeners to request their favorite song or business shout out in exchange for a monetary donation.
For ten years, Donny and the team at The Point have raised funds to support the local community through the Radiothon. In the last seven years, this fundraiser has raised over $260,000 for seriously ill children and their families at RMHC; in 2019, a record-breaking $52,964 was raised. We are grateful for their continued support as we move into our 8th year as the charity partner for this fantastic effort.

How does it work?
Each year, listeners have the opportunity to request whatever song they like, as long as it’s in the Hubbard Radio song bank, or plug their business. A monetary donation of $25+ for a song request and $105+ for a business plug. Favorites from 2019 included All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey, I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys, and, of course, Gloria by Laura Branigan; leaving everyone rolling in their chairs from the “Everything Alternative” mix usually heard on 105.7 The Point.

Along the way, supporters flock to Twitter to show their support as Donny pushes through 28 hours on the air, giving updates every few hours. We love the suspense of waiting to hear the new total and seeing how Donny will share it!

We are also incredibly grateful for the people who work behind the scenes answering phones and taking requests from listeners. Thanks to friends of the House and The Point staff, there is always someone there to answer the phone – even at 2am!
