Jeff Barone, Vice Chairperson
Jeff has worked in various lodging management and investment roles over the course of his career. In 2016, as part of a restructuring and reorganization of Maritz Wolff & Co., Jeff co-founded Lennox Capital Partners. LCP is a private lodging investment and management company seeking hotel and resort acquisition and development opportunities. Current LCP projects include the asset management of the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis (in which Jeff is also an investment partner), as well as the ownership and property management of the Courtyard by Marriott St. Louis at the Convention Center. Prior to forming LCP, Jeff was an asset and investment manager with MW for over 18 years. His responsibilities at MW included taking a lead role in the acquisition, management, development, financing, and disposition of lodging investments. Over the course of his career, Jeff has overseen over $1.5 billion in investments. Concurrently with his role at MW, Jeff served from 2006-16 as Director of Broad reach Capital Partners, a real estate development and management firm based in northern California with just under $3 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining MW, Jeff worked in the finance/accounting department of the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis for 7 years and was the youngest in the company to hold the position of Controller at that time. Jeff has served on Hotel Carlyle co-operative corporate board, served on the board of Dolce Hotels and Resorts, and serves on the board as Treasurer/Secretary of Explore St. Louis (aka the St. Louis Regional Convention and Visitor’s Commission). Jeff previously served two 3-year terms on the board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, as well as on the development board of Epworth Children and Family Services. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team and attending his children’s activities and events with his wife, Diane. Additionally, the family likes to travel during school breaks. Diane and Jeff have three wonderful children: their daughter Elise, and sons Cullen and Griffin.
