Interested in volunteering for Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis?
House Volunteers: As a House Volunteer, you welcome families to The Ronald McDonald House. It may be a warm, friendly smile to a returning family or helping a family settle in for the first time. Other duties could include giving House tours, maintaining a home-like environment and providing support to House staff. Day and evening shifts are available. Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
Family Room Volunteers: As a Family Room Volunteer, you provide a warm welcome and supportive atmosphere to families coming to use our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Our Family Rooms are inside area hospitals and provide a break from the hospital setting for the families of pediatric patients. You would register guests, perform simple record-keeping, light housekeeping and offer tours of the Family Room to visitors.
Special Event Volunteers: As a Special Event Volunteer, you play a critical role in our special events which raise funds for our organization. Our special events throughout the year include Auctions, Golf Tournaments and other fundraisers.
Maintenance Volunteers: If you have experience with home maintenance and are interested in “handy” work, we need you! Volunteers with varying maintenance skills are needed on a regular basis to support our House Managers to help keep our Houses running as a home for the families we serve. Projects range from changing light bulbs to plumbing and electrical work. The schedule is flexible but weekly or twice monthly is preferred.
Service Projects: For a project to be done at one of our Houses, volunteers must be a sophomore in high school or older and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For younger volunteers, offsite projects are available. To inquire into service projects, please fill out our Service Project Form or contact us at email@example.com.
Children under 18 years old: Please take a look at our Kids Helping Kids flyer.
What if I don’t have that much free time? Please consider our other ways to get involved.
