Friend of the House Alex Mosby serves as the Volunteer Committee Chair for the annual Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction.
Alex Mosby first got involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis in 2015 by joining the committee that helps plan the annual Golf Tournament & Dinner Auction. She was working for Cushman & Wakefield, the Title Sponsor of the event, and decided to focus her efforts on assisting with securing auction items.
“When I first started volunteering, I simply hoped I could make an impact on a family’s life,” Alex says. “I truly was not prepared for the immense impact RMHC made – and continues to make – in my life.”
Over the years, Alex has become more involved with this annual fundraiser, which brings in almost 25 percent of the annual operating revenue for the House. She chairs the Volunteer Committee for the Golf Tournament, in addition to continuing to assist with the Silent Auction Committee.
“I think it comes down to the people, plain and simple. I sincerely enjoy being able to interact with so many generous people, who all share the same passion for the RMH [Ronald McDonald House]. I look forward to our next auction and tournament the minute the current one is over,” she says.
On event day, you can find her helping with set-up for the dinner auction and overseeing the volunteer check-in table on tournament day to ensure volunteers get where they need to be on time and handling any issues should they arise. More than 80 team members from Cushman & Wakefield volunteer during the event, along with numerous community members.
“I have met so many incredible people, strengthened my values, and have seen firsthand how truly remarkable the RMHC is for our community. RMHC plays a huge role in our city, and I am honored to be a part of such an incredibly impactful organization,” she says. “You could not ask for a better group of people or a more fun event.”
We could not be more grateful for the committee members, like Alex, who make our special events at RMHC St. Louis so successful and fun year after year!
